When you use a wheelchair, getting a ride to a medical appointment is often the hardest part of the day. Friends and family try, but they are not always free when you need them, and a standing appointment does not move.

Our wheelchair vans are ramp-equipped with a low floor and four-point securement. You board in your own chair, you are secured properly by a driver trained to do it, and you travel that way the whole journey. There is no transfer at either end.

The things people ask first.

Can I just book directly, without a referral or a broker?

Yes. Most of the people who find us here book and pay directly — no case worker, no authorisation, no waiting on a broker to approve a trip. Book online or call and we will confirm it with you on the spot.

What does a wheelchair ride cost?

It depends on the distance and whether you need a return leg, and we quote it before anything is booked. You will know the fare up front, in full, with no surprise charges afterwards. Call and we will price your route while you are on the phone.

Can you take my wheelchair, or do I have to transfer?

You stay in your own chair. Our wheelchair vans are ramp-equipped with four-point securement, and every driver is trained on loading and tie-down. Tell us the chair type — including power chairs and bariatric chairs — when you book, and we will assign a van that fits it.

Do you take Medicaid too?

Yes. We are a contracted Nebraska Medicaid transport provider, so if you are eligible the trip may be arranged through the state broker at no cost to you. Tell us and we will check. Either way you get the same vehicles and the same drivers.

How far ahead should I book?

We ask for at least 24 hours. Tomorrow’s schedule is built, assigned and confirmed the evening before, so a ride booked for the same day arrives after the day has already gone out to drivers and riders. Book a day ahead and the route is planned properly. If something urgent comes up, call us and we will do what we can — but the honest answer is that a day’s notice gets you a better ride.

Do you do airport runs, family events or non-medical trips?

Yes. If you need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for anything at all — an airport transfer, a wedding, a family visit, moving somebody home from a rehab facility — we do those, and they are booked and paid for the same simple way.

Will the driver wait and help me inside?

Yes. This is door-to-door, not kerb-to-kerb. Your driver helps you from your door to the vehicle and walks you in at the other end.

Can you set up recurring rides?

Yes, and most of our riders are on one. Dialysis three times a week, weekly therapy, a monthly specialist — we schedule the whole pattern once so you are not booking it again every week.

Which areas do you cover?

Omaha and the surrounding metro, out to Lincoln, Fremont, Blair, Plattsmouth, Ashland and Grand Island. We also run rural routes that other providers turn down. If you are not sure, call us.
